Plank-Grilled Fairly sweet Soy Salmon

Ingredients
1/4 mug reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 mug sake or dry white wine beverages
1/4 cup mirin
2 tablespoons sugars
3 tablespoons coarsely chopped scallions
3 tablespoons coarsely sliced fresh ginger
4 5-ounce outrageous salmon fillets or steaks, 3/4-1 inch thick, skin on
1 smaller lemon, thinly sliced

Preparation
1. Bathe a grilling plank in water for 2-4 hours.

2. Meanwhile, combine soy sauce, sake (or light wine), mirin, sugar, scallions and ginger in a very small saucepan and bring into a boil. Remove from the warmth and let cool to room temperature.

3. Place salmon in a very shallow dish and pour the particular marinade over it. Place lemon slices on the top. Marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes but a maximum of 2 hours, turning the fish a few times.

4. Preheat grill to medium-high.

5. Place the soaked plank over direct heat around the grill and heat for only two minutes. Move the plank consequently it’s over indirect heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade, put it skin-side down (if using fillets) around the hot plank and replace the lemon slices on the top. Close the lid and cook till the fish is just cooked via, about 10-15 minutes. Use the plank since the serving platter, if desired.
